REU10 is a probiotic containing Lactobacillus reuteri. L. Reuteri is considered one of the few native species of lactobacilli and is widely used for its probiotic properties, as a treatment for rebalancing the gastro intestinal bacterial flora. Lactobacillus Reuteri is highly effective in bacterial and fungal vaginal infections, as well as in infections of the lower urinary tract. The security of L. reuteri has been repeatedly demonstrated in healthy adults, immunocompromised patients, in children, documenting that L. reuteri is a probiotic effective and safe in all age groups. Clinical data show that L. reuteri colonizes the gastric and intestinal epithelium in humans and modulates the immune response particularly through the CD4 and T-helper cells in the ileum.
